Landlords and owners are looking for lodgers all the time and your profile acts like a 'wanted' ad, letting them know what sort of room you're interested in. If their requirements in a lodger (female, professional, non-smoker for example) meet your requirements in a roommate (female, professional, loves cats) they can get in touch with you and save you all the legwork!
You don't have to create a profile to find a room but it might make the process a lot quicker.
What about my privacy?
You don't have to give out your full name or any contact details on the site - we allocate you a special email account so that people can get in touch with you. You don't even have to upload a picture of yourself - you can if you want, but we've got lots of default avatars if you'd prefer not to. All you need for your profile is a list of requirements and a line or two about yourself.
This section of the site is also locked to anyone who doesn't have a room advertised on Bethemiddleman.com.
